Poppy the Egg

Poppy the Egg

This week two pupils in my class (room 21) sent out a notice about eggs. Who would expect to get a notice about an egg at this time in the year? I did because the holidays are coming up, in two weeks, and guess what, those holidays are called... The Easter Holidays
I have a shoe box that I transformed into a secure home for Poppy. I made it out of some bits and bobs from my old mini play house.

As I think that you already know Mum and Dad, I have an egg named Poppy, who loves to read Harry Potter, eat donuts, and sleep all day.

Room 21 have been enjoying doing this because it is a competition to see whose egg can last the longest. I don't think that I mentioned that before.

I know that some people will be thinking "oh you can just hard boil the egg" but you can't because we have a method to our madness. All we do is we spin the egg on the floor (not carpet) and then you stop it with your finger, and then you take your finger off and you see if it is still spinning, and if it is then it is a raw egg because the yolk is still spinning around inside.
